SEGMENTS AND FOLLOW-UPS

Follow up with the people who clicked — not the whole list again.

Save the people who clicked, the people who opened but didn't, and the people who never opened — straight from any campaign you've already sent. Then write a follow-up for each group instead of one email aimed at everyone.

THE PROBLEM

One follow-up, sent to everyone, again

You sent the campaign. Some people clicked straight through. Some opened it, had a look, and moved on. Some never opened it at all. A week later you want to follow up, and the easiest thing to do is resend the whole list the same message — which means the people who already clicked get it twice, and the people who never opened it get the exact same subject line that didn't work the first time.

Segments fix that at the source. They're built from what actually happened with a campaign you've already sent, not a separate list you have to build and maintain by hand.

HOW IT WORKS

From one send to a sharper second one

Send the first campaign

Launch it the normal way, to your full list or an existing segment.

Open the report

See who clicked, who opened without clicking, and who never opened it at all.

Save a segment

Turn any of those groups into a segment with one click. No spreadsheet, no re-importing.

Send the follow-up

Write a new subject line for the people who didn't open, or a different message for the people who clicked. Send it to the segment, not the whole list.

IN DETAIL

FROM ANY CAMPAIGN

Three groups, built from what people actually did

Every campaign you send already tells you who clicked, who opened without clicking, and who didn't open at all. Senderoo turns each of those into a saveable segment — a defined group you can send to on its own, whenever you're ready.

You don't rebuild the group by hand or guess who belongs in it. It's drawn straight from that campaign's results, so it's exact.

  • Clicked, opened or didn't — pick any group

  • Built from a campaign you've already sent

  • Save it once, send to it whenever you like

RE-ENGAGEMENT, DONE SIMPLY

Resend to the people who didn't open — with a new subject line

A missed open is usually a subject line problem, not a lost cause. Save the didn't-open segment from your first send, write a new subject line, and send that same offer again to just that group.

The people who already opened or clicked don't see it twice. You're not repeating yourself to the whole list — you're giving the people who missed it a second, better chance to notice.

  • A new subject line, same offer

  • Sent only to people who missed it the first time

  • No extra list work required

REPORTS YOU CAN TRUST

The report and the segment always describe the same people

When a campaign launches to a segment, that audience is fixed the moment it sends. New opens or clicks after launch don't quietly change who's in it, so the report you read next week still matches the group you actually emailed.

Opens from security scanners never count toward a segment, and anyone who's unsubscribed or been suppressed is left out automatically — you don't have to remember to exclude them yourself.

  • Audience fixed the moment a campaign launches

  • Scanner opens never count

  • Unsubscribed and suppressed people excluded automatically

WHAT IT MEANS FOR YOU

Fewer emails wasted, better ones for everyone else

Less list fatigue

People who already clicked don't get the same offer again the next day.

A genuine second chance

People who missed the first email get a new subject line, not a repeat of the one that didn't land.

Unsubscribes always honoured

Suppressed and unsubscribed people are left out of every segment automatically.

Reports that hold still

The audience for a sent campaign is fixed at launch, so your numbers describe one group, not a moving target.

No extra list admin

Segments come from campaigns you've already sent — there's no spreadsheet to build or maintain.

COMPARED

Follow-ups that go to the right group

A typical email platform

  • Follow-ups go out to the whole list again
  • Every open counts the same, bots included
  • Saved lists can drift after the report updates
  • Unsubscribed people can still turn up in a list
  • Building a follow-up list means exporting and re-importing

Senderoo

  • Resend to non-openers. A new subject line, sent only to the people who missed it.
  • Scanners never count. Only real opens define who's in a segment.
  • The audience is fixed at launch. Segment and report always describe the same people.
  • Left out automatically. Unsubscribed and suppressed people never make a segment.
  • One click from the campaign report. No spreadsheet, no re-upload.

QUESTIONS

Segments and follow-ups, answered

What's a segment?

A group of people defined by what they did with a campaign you sent — everyone who clicked, for instance. Save it, then send your next campaign to just that group.

Can I segment people who opened but didn't click?

Yes. From any sent campaign you can save three groups: people who clicked, people who opened without clicking, and people who didn't open at all.

Does resending to people who didn't open break any rules?

No, as long as the resend still meets the Spam Act 2003: clear sender identification and a working unsubscribe link, same as any other campaign. The resend is just a new subject line to the same consenting audience.

Will unsubscribed people show up in a segment?

No. Anyone who's unsubscribed or been suppressed is left out of every segment automatically, so you never have to check the list by hand before you send.

Can I use a segment from a campaign I sent months ago?

Yes. A campaign's results stay available, so you can save and send to a segment from it whenever you're ready, not only right after it goes out.

What counts as an open for a segment?

A genuine open by a person. Opens that come from security scanners checking the email on arrival are never counted, so they don't put someone in your opened or didn't-open groups incorrectly.

Does the segment change if more people open the email later?

No. Once a campaign launches to a segment, that audience is fixed. Later opens or clicks don't rewrite who was in the group, so your report always matches who you actually sent to.

Can I combine clicked and opened into one send?

You save and send to one group at a time — clicked, opened without clicking, or didn't open — so each follow-up message can be written for that specific group.
