FOR CLUBS & NOT-FOR-PROFITS

Email marketing built for clubs and not-for-profits

You're running fixtures, fundraisers and the AGM with a volunteer committee, not a marketing department. Senderoo writes the email in your voice, checks every member's address before you send, and sets up your sending domain for you, so the newsletter goes out between the working bee and the canteen roster, not instead of them.

  • Australian-owned

  • Priced in Australian dollars

  • Every address checked before you send

Right, let's get this newsletter out the door.

WHERE IT GOES WRONG

Sound familiar?

  • Your membership list lives across three spreadsheets, and nobody's sure which one's current.

  • The sign-up form never made it onto the club website, so the list hasn't grown in years.

  • Event emails go out after the fun run's already full, because sending takes a working bee of its own.

  • One volunteer holds the login, the template and the only idea of how any of it works.

  • Half the list bounces because people moved house three committees ago, and nobody's cleaned it since.

  • Every email looks the same, so the AGM notice gets the same shrug as the sausage sizzle reminder.

CAMPAIGN CALENDAR

Campaigns that work for your club

The AGM notice that gets a quorum

Send the agenda, proxy form and RSVP link three weeks out, then a reminder the week before. A full room beats a postponed meeting.

Renewal reminders before memberships lapse

A nudge 30 days before expiry, another at the deadline, then a soft follow-up a month after. Catch people before they forget they joined.

The call-out for Saturday's working bee

Send on Tuesday with what to bring and what's for morning tea. Follow up Friday for the stragglers who meant to reply.

The fundraiser that sells out before the gate

Early-bird tickets to your list first, a reminder at the halfway mark, and a last-chance email the week of the event.

The thank-you every sponsor actually reads

A personal note after the grant lands or the cheque's banked, with where the money's going. Sponsors renew when they see the impact.

Season launch and sign-on day

Announce rego dates, fees and training nights in one go, timed for when the footy, netball or swim season opens.

Welcome email for every new member

Send the moment someone joins: how to get involved, who to ask, what's on next. First impressions keep people coming back.

The quarterly newsletter nobody skips

Round up what the committee decided, what's coming up and a photo from last month's event, for members who couldn't make the meeting.

Roo calling out through a megaphone

One line from the treasurer. One ready-to-send email.

The treasurer types one line: trivia night, Saturday the 14th, tables of eight, tickets close Friday. The platform designs a complete email from it, hero, ticket details, an offer band and a footer, in the club's own colours and the tone of your last three newsletters.

The landing page comes from the same brief, so people who click land on a page that matches, with a form that takes their booking. It's sent from the club's own domain, already set up, at a pace that lands in the inbox rather than the junk folder.

FEATURES YOU'LL USE

The features your committee will actually use

Write the AGM notice in one line, not an afternoon

Type one line — the AGM's happening, the date, the venue, the tone you want — and the draft comes back designed: hero, agenda, a proof section with last year's photos or minutes, and a footer with your unsubscribe link already in place.

Your brand settings hold your club's logo, colours and the way you write, once. Every email after that reads like it came from your committee, not a template.

  • Set your brand once: logo, colours, the way you write

  • Describe the offer, audience and message in one line

  • Get a complete email: hero, sections, offer band, proof and footer

Your sending domain, set up without touching a DNS record

No one on the committee needs to touch a DNS record. We register a sending domain that matches your club, set up its authentication (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) and host it, so emails go out from an address members recognise.

Your From address, the links in the footer and the event landing page all sit on that same domain, for every member, every time.

  • Domain registered and authenticated for you

  • Zero DNS records for the committee to set up

  • Your From address matches your club, every time

Bring the membership spreadsheet, however messy

Bring the spreadsheet however it looks: three tabs, inconsistent headers, a column called 'Email (old)'. The importer maps each column to a field and reuses the ones you've already got, so names and emails don't end up duplicated three times over.

If the connection drops halfway through 300 rows, it picks up where it left off, not from the start.

  • Map any spreadsheet column to a field in minutes

  • Reuse fields you already have, no duplicates

  • An interrupted upload resumes where it stopped

Follow up the members who missed the renewal email

After the renewal email or the gala invite goes out, save the people who clicked, the ones who opened but didn't act, and the ones who never opened it at all.

Resend to that last group with a new subject line, a week later, instead of hoping they check their junk folder.

  • Save everyone who clicked the renewal link

  • Find who opened but didn't act

  • Resend to non-openers with a new subject line

QUESTIONS

Questions clubs ask us

Do we have to pay for this, running on a volunteer budget?

Senderoo is priced in Australian dollars on four month-to-month plans, and you're not locked into a contract. Scale up for a busy month, like your AGM or annual gala, and back down once it's over.

Do we need consent to email our members?

Yes. Under the Spam Act 2003, you need a member's consent, clear identification of your club as the sender, and a working unsubscribe link in every email. Senderoo includes the unsubscribe link by default; collecting consent, through a sign-up form, a membership form or at sign-on day, is on you.

Our list is years old. Won't sending to it cause problems?

Every address is checked with its mail server before a campaign goes out, so dead mailboxes and old addresses never get sent to in the first place. That protects your club's sending reputation as much as it protects your members' inboxes.

Do we need someone technical to set up our sending domain?

No. We register your sending domain, set up its authentication and host it for you, so there's nothing for the committee to configure. Your newsletter goes out from an address that matches your club.

Can we put a sign-up form on our club website?

Yes, embed a form with one line of code, or use a standalone landing page if your club doesn't have a website yet. Forms are protected against automated sign-ups, so your list grows with real members.

We've got multiple sections, like netball and lawn bowls. Can we email them separately?

Yes. Save segments from any campaign, who clicked, who opened, who didn't, and build lists by section or team, so the netball mums aren't getting the bowls roster.

Can we build a page for people to register for an event, not just read about it?

Yes. A landing page is built from the same brief as your email, with the same headline, proof and call to action, on your club's own domain, with a form for RSVPs or registrations.
